Merck-AAAS Undergraduate Science Research 2008
The Departments of Chemistry and Biology at Truman State University are pleased to announce a summer research opportunity for faculty and students in biology and chemistry at Truman. The research is part of an effort by biology and chemistry to work with the Kirksville Watershed Commission to characterize the health of Forest and Hazel Creek Lakes. The goal of the program is to formalize the interaction of students and faculty already working on water analysis as well as to integrate new students and faculty into the project so that we can better understand the influences that chemistry has on the biology of the lake and vice versa. Funding for this research is provided by Merck-AAAS and the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Science Division of Truman State University. Applications are due 29 February.
