2. Students are admitted to CCC only as first year doctorate of chiropractic students. Upon completion of the first year of studies (up to three trimesters) at CCC, up to 33 CCC credits to total 124 credits will be transferred toward completion of the B.S. in Biology degree at TSU. Fifteen of these CCC transfer credits will count as Biology electives. Appropriate courses for transfer to Truman from the first 3 trimesters at CCC include: Systemic Anatomy (3.5 credits), Embryology (3 credits), Spinal Anatomy (4.5 credits), Histology (5.0 credits), Cell Physiology (3 credits), Biochemistry I and II(10 credits), Thoracic, Abdominal, and Pelvic Anatomy (5 credits), Extremity Anatomy (5 credits), Cardiovascular-Pulmonary Physiology (4 credits), Immunobiology (3 credits), Endocrine-Reproductive Physiology (3.0), Head/Neck Anatomy (5 credits), Renal-Digestive Physiology (3 credits), Microbiology I: bacteriology (4 credits), General Pathology (4 credits). An official transcript must be sent from CCC to the TSU Registrar’s Office, and the student must request application materials for graduation from TSU for graduation.
3. While enrolled at TSU, students will complete all required course work as outlined above and described in the Truman catalog. Students in this Pre-Chiropractic Program, however, cannon be guaranteed seats in Truman courses with any greater priority than other Truman students. Each student must insure that at least 63 hours of approved liberal arts and science courses are completed at Truman. TSU’s graduation requirement about earning the last 28 hours on campus will be waived.
4. The acceptance of transfer credits from college-equivalent experiences or other universities toward completion of degree requirements at Truman shall be governed by current policies of Truman. Truman requires that at least 45 credits be completed at TSU and that a minimum of 15 credits toward a major be completed at Truman.
5. Cleveland Chiropractic College shall accept, for the entrance date of their choice, all students who successfully complete the Pre-Chiropractic Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and meet all other criteria for admission.
6. Students who earn less than a 3.25 GPA, but at least a 2.50 GPA, will be eligible for admission to CCC, and will receive appropriate consideration in the admission process for having completed the TSU Pre-Chiropractic Program, but will not receive the assurance of a seat reserved for students earning a 3.25 or higher GPA.
7. Students will make application to CCC one year in advance of their desired entrance date and will complete all required application procedures thereafter in a timely manner, including submission of a recommendation from a Doctor of Chiropractic and a satisfactory interview.
8. Students enrolled in the Truman Pre-chiropractic program who successfully complete all course work in the first two or three 15 week trimesters at Cleveland Chiropractic College with C’s or better will be granted the Bachelor of Science in Biology from TSU, provided they have met all other Truman graduation requirements, including senior assessment.
9. Students shall pay the appropriate tuition and fees to each institution for all course work taken at that institution. During the first year of study at CCC, students shall not be registered for courses at Truman, but shall pay any fees required to maintain their registration toward the baccalaureate degree. Upon completion of the first year of study at CCC, students shall be responsible for any fees regularly charged by Truman for transfer of credits and awarding the baccalaureate degree.
